  16. By unanimous vote, the ARRL DXAC (DX Advisory Committee) passed a
  17. recommendation to delete Walvis Bay (ZS9) and Penguin Islands
  18. (ZS0,1).  The DXAC decided that these entities no longer meet the
  19. DXCC criteria following their turnover to Namibia by South Africa.
  20. This recommendation has been sent to the Awards Committee along with
  21. a suggested effective date of March 1, 1994.

  23. In another ballot, the DXAC voted down a proposal to add additional
  24. single band awards to the DXCC program.  (There were 13 no and 2 yes
  25. votes with 1 abstain.)

  27. The committee also voted down a proposal to add a 10-Meter DXCC
  28. Honor Roll by a 15 to 1 margin.  Committee members expressed support
  29. for the mode-specific Honor Rolls that now exist (Mixed, Phone, CW 
  30. RTTY).
